OK, for those of you that posted in my last thread about replacing the wood siding on a house, I have another question. How much to just have a proffesional repaint the wood? A good job, not some hack mind you. Paint is 15 years old, starting to peel over the knots in the wood. House is a 2 story, 2000ish square feet with an attached garage. Ballpark (and any suggestions on who to go with if I do decide to buy the house) figures are what I am really looking for. Thanks in advance everyone!!

I have a painter and a pressure washer. just pressure wash the house then paint it.

When you replace the siding with vinyl you won't have to paint. Plus they will cap the brick molding on the outside of the window so you won't have to paint that either.

I'd go with siding. Do it yourself and save some $$.

The house is expensive enough as it is, I am hoping painting the current siding will be cheap and good enough for a few years till I can save some $$$$ to side the house. If the subdivision allows anything other than natural siding that is.

Well then as stated above, pressure wash and paint. Should workout fine.

Good quality materials wont cost you maybe $300-500, add $1000-1500 for a guy to "just throw it on" or $1500-2000 to do a quality job so the paint sticks.

Call CJ Herbst & Sons, they are in Germantown. They do all of our painting and they are good guys. They can do interior exterior staining whatever.

Tell them I referred you and they will be sure to double the price.
