Other week a buddy was making some broccoli to go with our Steaks, he brings out this thing and explained it to me because I was thinking " WTF is that "

For those that don't know it just hovers over water and steams the vegetable's.

My whole point in making this retarded thread is that I always boiled my veggies in hot water strained and ate. Never really thought I was boiling the taste right out of them until I bought and used this thing.

By far the best $9 I have spent this year :thumbsup

Vitamins are heat sensitive, so boiling vegetables boils the vitamins right out of them too. Steam FTW.

That's a bìtch to get totally clean if you don't rinse it right away.

I use a Black and Decker electric one you plug in, that has a container for water in the bottom(base) a plastic portion to hold spices to add flavor, on top of that the housing for the food, and the lid. It is about $25-30 and has worked great since it was bought 2 years ago...they still make the same one. Steam those veggies :goof

my wife has been buying those zip and steam bags for the microwave. works pretty good. it is not the most economical, but it gets the job done.

I really want to meet (meat?) the girl who would let someone drape cold slimy bacon on her boobage.
