Can anyone recommend any places to look for Automotive Paint? Felt like my local Finishmasters was a tad high on the two colors I need for my car.

I've always went to them, as they're local, and my dad always went to them for paint over the years.

The paint type I need is a DB-U.

db-u would be paint manufacturer specific. you will need to know what you actually need if you plan on going somewhere else. by that i mean a single stage system or a base/clear system.

haha. What you be doin round my work??? Ya I took them off cuz I just got the windows tinted. And that GT500 is steves. The owner of estevans. He is funny as hell. He kicks ass :headbang I am going to get him to give me a ride in it.

yes, i know dbu is ppg, i was merely stating that dbu is a paint manufacturer specific thing, and not a general paint product :-D all my paint knowledge was learned with the ppg system :-D and i love the dplf epoxy primer, looks good on my 1960's doors tho after two years of being out in the elements and just sprayed as a sealer.

We've been customers, me, my father and sister, yes. But I doubt he'll have cheap prices... lol.

So far I'm @ $75/pt for The Cyber Grey Metallic and $60/pt for the Impulse Blue Metallic, not including my clear, and misc materials and time to prep my new parts, prep my old parts, paint it all, clear it, finish it, etc.

i think i need a hook up next time i get paint for the bike i paid $250 for the pain on my bike $125 was just the quart of yellow paint :(

Lol. I have seen that Sherwin williams stuff sprayed out. I wouldn't put that on the frame of a car where it would never be seen. Tell sherwin to stick to house paint:rolf

For PPGS DBU this is exactly what the waukesha will quote you at as I jumped into their computer to get prices for ya. And trust me. It will lay out WAY better than SW lol.

BTW I do not know where exactly you are located but my store is in racine just off HWY 11 and HWY 32. So I am not sure what store is closer to you. But Both stores are open Mon-Fri 8-5 adn the waukesha store is open 8-12 on sat. I work at the waukesha every third sat.

I am 27 miles north of watertown plank for example. 41/45 North for a while till out of town.
