Well, I finally got the chance to detail the Crown Vic since I added the Driving lights and Mercury Marauder Side marker Lamps. It is amazing how much light those cornering lights actually throw. Its finally starting to look the way I want it.

looks good. Just need the marauder headlights to match, or paint the stock housings black. Then tint the tail lights too!

I like the sidemarkers, but too bad they dont make matching headlights. or do they? if they do, I say go for it

Well, I want the Marauder headlights, but they don't fit the car. I would have to do the entire Marauder Front end swap. Bumper, header panel. grille. to make it fit.

I am seriously considering painting the insides of the headlights black but leave the reflectors chrome just like the side markers. I need to find a junk set of headlights to practice on before I stick a brand new pair of assemblys in the oven, and pull the lenses off.

Prince Valiant. I went with a group of guys almost a year ago, but chickened out when it came time to run. I fully intend to run it soon though, even though ill be lucky to break 16 seconds. :rolf

its actually not that bad if you do it right. ;)

to to the OP, or anybody else, if you want assistance or want myself or nate to show you how to do it, just let one of us know. I've done them on my car, a few cobalts and a redline. all you need is some primer, black paint, black silicone, and an oven :)

Here is a photo of the redline that we did...

I have a set of headlights already open, a set of angel eyes, and no experience working with them in terms of wiring them up correctly.

in my opinion, id say remove the vent visors, the mudflaps, and maybe a different set of wheels, then..... kenne bell!

05-13-2008, 10:31 PM
Thanks for the compliments guys.

I have contemplated getting rid of the mudflaps, but they help keep the car so much cleaner. Mostly from the tire dressing flying off down the sides of the white paint. Still haven't made my final decision on that one.

If another one of the ventvisors fall off in the carwash those damn things will go too. :rolf

I think for wheels I might Vic and they look really good. This is KW76's car on Crownvic.net he is using 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 18" wheels. Since they are a direct bolt on, I might go with these if I can find a deal.

If I didn't live a mile out of Greenfield, That plate would have been gone months ago. If I could figure out a way to quick mount it to take care of the fix it ticket when necessary, Id loose it quick. But the damn thing pop rivets to the bumper cover. Not sure whats worse the plate or the holes that will be left behind if I dump it.

I used interior pannel plug type things.. Got them at AutoZone and painted them the color of my car..

Depends what style angel eyes. I've been trying to talk nate into letting me paint his projectors w/ halos but he keeps saying no lol. However, there are tons of ways to get around them Why do you ask?
