I have been busy these last 2 weeks, after taking my motor apart because of the knocking, and needing to go through the whole thing, I decided I was ready for a change...
I sold my Turbo kit, and decided to build a 408 Stroker, then talked to a guy that I sold a Notch (The infamous 'Nasty') to back in 1999. And he was selling the car less motor and trans. So then I sold my Notch yesterday and picked up this one today..
It has been totally redone and painted 'Titanium Frost' since I had it- and in 2 magazines, and I want to make a few exterior 'taste' changes.. but soon enough it will have a new motor, TH400 and some drag wheels on it.
So thats what I did this week:headbang
Thanks! Sam

Thanks!
I think I am going to do an N/A 408 and it should put it into the 10's. This thing weighed 2800# when I had it with the 347 and the T-5, now with a 408 and the TH400, along with the new Tubular K member it could be around 3000lbs empty. +driver (120lbs:)) Maybe if Tina Drives...:)

should have kept the turbo because it was pretty much the baddest ass car there is around these parts. the driveability, the e.t., the sound(or lack there of)

but still, can't wait to see what you brew up with this one

Hey Sam - Nice car, very tasteful! I like that silver/gray color.

Why do you think I should've kept the turbo setup? In your opinion.

I also think you should have kept the turbo setup! But then again I think everyone should have a turbo... :thumbsup (where practical)

It's the best of all worlds, most power potential, best streetability (as long as you run an air filter! :goof) the only drawbacks are the most complexity, most amount of things to tune, things that can go wrong etc..

Plenty of power in a stroked and poked SBF's.
Back to basics, its blowers and turbos galore out there right now.

Thanks again, guys!
I will miss the Turbo, but I do not miss the headaches. Its easy to say 'keep it' when you don't have to F with it. Most people don't realize what it really takes behind the scenes... I had it for 4 years, and got where I wanted to with it and just ready for a change, my mind is always changing...:)

I can agree with that. So I bought the bike. Easiest maintenance ever and it's faster than the car and more enjoyable. Win/Win situation right? :)

car seemed to me to be the ultimate street car. Seemed any night weekend or not that car was out at culvers/oscars And that can't be said for very many 9 second cars. even more so when the car ran on pump gas (if i remember right) plus turbo mustangs are just sick. but then again i don't doubt this will be a badass notch.

Good luck on the new build Sam!!

Jason went all out on that Mustang and the quality really shows. It will be hard to see that go from a show (magazine) car to a track car, but I have no doubt if anyone can make it happen it will be you and Tina.
