So I finally heard about how to do some High Dynamic Range pictures, so I thought I'd try it myself on a couple of pictures. Did a 3 shot composite with three different exposures (I think -2, +2, and auto). I don't have any triple exposures of my Supra, so I had to use my wife's car and my daily driver which were easily accessible.

Here's the auto exposed picture...

Now, the HDR composite

And of course we have to do the processed (hand painted/hand drawn look)...

Artsy version of my GTP...

You can fake it with a single exposure and use photoshop to simulate an underexposed and overexposed copies, but they don't look as nice.

Well, I used a program called Photomatix (can probably find it on bittorrent if you look). You can do it with Photoshop CS2 or CS3... go to File>Automate>Merge to HDR... I think there's a tutorial out on the web (google search it) somewhere on how to do the rest (involves manipulating some "curves" thingie, that I really don't understand).
