should I do it to twigs tranny to clean it off? Do I need to cover the input shaft?

I mean it's not like it's my tranny. :)

Car has 14k on it and the trans wont be seen again till another clutch pukes, put it back in.

input shaft has a seal on it for a reason......... keep water out of the shifter port and you will be fine, if you are not 100% sure of it you can tape the input shaft off. :thumbsup

Dont wash it, why bother? Its not worth the possibility of getting moisture inside.

Or just hit it with Simple Green and a hose. Hi-pressure puts water where it does not belong. The garden hose would just rinse the simple green off!

Dont wash it, why bother? Its not worth the possibility of getting moisture inside.

its nice to get all that clutch dust off if you have to replace a seal or change the TOB in it. but as stated previously, simple green should do the job.
