Car show June 22nd

Milwaukee Wire Products (where I work) is having a car show to raise money for the United Way on the above date. It will have participant judgeing with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies for two classes, pre 1980, and post 1980, along with a "Best of Show". It will be $5 per car to register and there will be burgers, dogs, soda, ect. for sale as well. All proceeds will be donated to the United Way! I will post more information as I get it, but I thought I would just put this out so everyone can set the date aside for a worthy cause!

We are cooking everything on a giant grill, on site, during the event. That's real grilled burgers and dogs. Burgers will be $2, dogs and soda's (20oz) will be a $1.

I tried to set up a charity ride for MS a few years ago.. It was a lot of work and sucked doing it mostly by myself. Got a few dealerships to donate raffle prizes, had the support of the foundation. Just couldn't get things coordinated in time.

the show was good for it's first year.,maybe next year it will get bigger ...it was going up against another big show today.....was nice to see new faces from here and old ones(andy)...ry your ride looks better in person then pics...you did a great job on it...

Was a good turn out for our 1st year. Many thanks to those who showed, the United Way appreciates your contributions! The twin turbo Maro took home a trophy (2nd), 3rd went to the vert last year 5.0, 1st went to the yellow SRT:rolleyes:, and of course best of show went to the Civic. Next year I am thinking participant only voting, as that group stuffed the ballot box for their cars to win obviously. We wanted everyone to be able to vote as we expected alot more Milwaukee Wire Products employee's to show, and wanted to give them the chance to vote. As it turns out, only 2 employees showed that didn't have a car in the show, lol. Ahhhh well, lesson learned. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves and liked the food, we actually got lots of compliments on it! Next year we will have cheese, I promise! Thanks again to all those who showed!

Again, big thanks to everyone who showed, it is much appreciated. Talked to the United Way a little bit today, they said if we pulled in as much as we did this year ($450) with little to no advertisement and NO BUDGET (that's why we had burgers and dogs, the United Way team at my work, that would be me and one other person, bought everything for this show out of pocket, and if we didn't make enough to cover, we would have had to eat the cost and not make any money for charity) and still be able to pull 27 cars, that they will give us some $$$$$ for next years show. That means cheese and brats next year! YAY!!!! We will still do everything on an open grill, I think everyone really liked that! Again, just a huge props to everyone who made this 1st show a hit:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup
