Need more info.....

What seats are you installing...??? Factory, aftermarket, etc....

Has anything changed from the factory seat(s) setup...???

Are you trying to do this after smoking a doobie...??? J/K! :goof

Try taking some pictures (if possible) as it's kind of hard to 'see' exactly what you're getting at. If anything I'd be willing to take a look at it if you wanted to stop over. I'm located right next door to the airport and am around most all of the time.....

they are factory seats out of a 1995 240sx and mine is a 1993. every website ive seen on how to do it, it says its just a bolt in application like its all supposed to line up.
which is weird how the drivers side worked fine but the passanger one doesn't.
i can't take pics cuz i dont know where my camera is at the moment

maybe you have the rails backwards? I know its a simple thing, but sometimes those are the things that hang you up. Each rail has 2 directions it can be mounted, and each rail can be on either side. Something to look at could be that simple.

this is what I was going to suggest. Either that or they gave you two drivers side rails.

well we didnt get two drivers side cuz we saw the dude take the rails off of one seat...
we checked to make sure the bolts that bolt into the car are in the right spot too. and they were, just the effing one rail doesn't line up at all to the seat.

When you adjust the position of a seat, the lever is only attached to one track. So when not bolted down and the lever is pulled, only one seat rail will move. Pull the seat back out, and make sure both tracks line up.

Not sure if that's your problem, but it sounds like it may be.

is the equalizer wire attached between the two rails? if there is no wire from the rail that has the lever crossing over to the opposite side rail release they wont line up properly untill you manually do so,or reinstall the equalizer wire then adjust them to the same position

i don't think thats the problem.. the prob is on the rails there are a few holes for screw/nuts to go thru, but no matter where we line it up onto the seat itself where it gets screwed onto, the holes don't line up. so maybe we just gotta make our own holes? lol idk what were gonna do :confused:confused
