Just use a floor jack if you cant get a trans jack. Your cars transmission isnt heavy. :thumbsup

Hell, you could pull the motor on RX7's without a jack. Wenkels FTW.

Guys please take it easy and excersize the proper caution when pulling a trans... Chock the wheels, use the Parking Brake, etc.

I had a friend who got killed exactly 1 year ago when he was pulling a 4L80 trans and something went wrong. His wife found his feet sticking out from under the truck when she came home. He was a GREAT guy, too. :(

Since then I have been a lot more careful about using jack stands and the parking brake. I still had a close call last fall when I was working on my Syclone trans, I had it on a lift and thought it was no big deal but when I pulled the shifter linkage off or the 2nd gear anchor (cant remember) suddenly the truck moved forward a few inches and gave me a scare. Luckily the lift had built in wheel chocks.
