im kinda asking this question for my self and more for a friend.. some of you know i intend on doing a turbo build but with hp tuners not supporting my car at the moment im forced to use boost juice. " i really dont want to use a piggy back"... ANYWHO.. my buds doing a turbo build and he wants to have an electric exhaust cutout installed when they build the turbo back exhaust. any name brands worth talking about?

im installing one on a car when i get back from the PGDs. ill let you know what brand it is and how it works.

i know Apexi makes one and it seems to be the cheapest one i've seen atleast the ones from Jegs and sumshit.

The race ready doesn't seem to bad. i will be picking one up in the next couple months as well.

not sure what size exhaust you would be running but this is the one i was looking at for my car..

QTP-quick time performance makes a good one i've heard and i would probably go with them for my car

Before QTP owned them I had that exact model, sealed 100% and even
after hitting a few curbs with it I repaired it myself and worked great.
The turbo whistle from a downpipe at WOT is priceless!

Regardless the brand you buy drench the contacts with dielectric grease
up here in the rustbelt.

I had a QTP on the Neon, it worked great while I had it. Know that you can't get to crazy with the HP though as it would take 2 tunes to make it run correctly. (which is why it came off the Neon, lol. It was the coolest mod though BY FAR that I ever had on that car)

I've never had any problems with mine. But then again I probably only put about 100 miles on the car since I installed it 3 years ago. :eek:

i have a Y just after the down pipe when it gets under the car. and 2 bolts with a plate on it. cheap cheap cheap. oh and its pointed toward the passeneger side, and away from gas lines LOL
