Track Day Interest Gauge

Someone I know is trying to gauge interest in a track day at GLD. would most likely be a clocks off night, a lot like real street drags...we have around 20-30 people that have already said they would be highly interested and we are trying to get as many people together as possible since the more we get = the cheaper it is per person. if you would be interested in going (probably something like may 31st, a saturday, at night) please express your interest or PM me (your best option) soon since we are going to get an initial group together and then whoever isnt in that group wont get it quite as cheap.

steve, you may want to consider a sunday. only because many have to work on a saturday I.E me. which i can take off when ever, but many people cant. But what i think should happen would be more along the lines of a KOTH race, but lets not wait until November to run it......

more likely than not i gurantee it wont be a sunday...sundays are the reason nobody ever comes out as is, let alone now to get people to drive down from the north side on a sunday... i like my sundays as a recovery. we will have to live with it being on a particular day and some people just not making it....if we go to sunday some people that could make saturday may not be able to make it....kind of facts of life....either way, day and date are totally in the air, maybe we will have it during the week....kinda of what the majority of people say is what will happen.

im not setting up anything in terms of classes and all that blah. it will be something where we all go as a bunch of people together, get some races off btw people and if you want to know your times, fine....keep track of them yourself :-D

What setup are you running, im half temptd to try to find a asphault track and run. id make my own rollers on the mill up front

haha, well its going to be a lot more than just bcm peoplez. its everyone i know peoplez. so far i have about 30 people wanting in and a friend of mine said he has another 10-15 and another friend said 10-15 from madison would be interested. so.....50 ppl maybe.

I have a bunch of work done on mine, but any stock setup can run low 11's or high 10's. If you need parts let me know, i have access to everything you will need, if you can make your own skis, all you need is a track and cool down connectors. PM if you want any more info, i am willing top help you out. Im always trying to get more people down at the track on sled nights.

technical difficulties that happen almost every nice day at GLD

you arent goin to get many runs in, making your $40 worth less than if you just bought a hooker and some booze and sat at home :thumbsup

if thats the case, id limit it to 40 cars that are willing to pay the extra money to guarantee runs.Id rather pay an extra $20 to get more than 4 runs in, but thats just me :rolleyes:
