Bought mine on saturday from this person and it arrived today at lunch. Looks to be great quality for the price. When I went to pickup the fuel from greenfield news and hobby they had the same one on the shelf for 249.99 :wooo

Ya I bought a few. Have channels 1,2, and 3. The crystals are interchangeable and can be purchased from any hobby shop.

These would be a great for a BCM Nitro RC Leage :D

Well two of the three got broken in yesterday in the blakewood parking lot. Considering the weight, size of engine, and how dam rich this thing was it still had tons of getup and go! I'm gonna tune it today.

BTW sportwerks is a well known brand and you can easily get repair or hop up parts.

From experience sofar they are FAST!! Had a few issues with screws coming loose, tighten ALL the screws when you first remove it out of the box. That way you can't miss anything. Second put some thick grease in the center and rear diff. Other than that its a great runner. Replacing the glow plug with an O.S. A3 and a motor saver airfilter will also show a nice gain. The stock plug and cleaner are JUNK!

btw the single needle carb is PERFECT for a beginner in nitro.

Just got mine for $68.73 shipped.

Do you know if they have any other bodies for these things?

Mike just got a starter box for his off ebay. That Ofna Picco motor with 3x more power for under 50 looks well worth the money. Hell just to get rid of that POS rotary carb would be worth the 50.

Looks like it's gonna be a trashed drivetrain, I would stick with the stock motor until it dies... All of my 1/8 scale trucks have bigger motors and none of them are "drivetrain friendly". That $50 motor will turn into $50 more spent fixing stripped spur gears and exploded diffs! :crying

Well thats for sure. Even the spider gears are plastic!! Side note I packed my center and rear diffs with some thick grease from GN&H. Lets just say the results were amazing.

Where did you get your motorsaver filter from? And which one is it?

GTSLOW

Crap I can't remeber which one. You can get them from any of the hobby shops. Just measure the inlet diameter on the stocker and see what you need. Towerhobbies is great too!

Big thanks for the hookup. I ordered 4 of these babies this past friday and as I was typing this, the ups guy rang my doorbell:banana:banana:banana

A couple of questions, as I'm new to the gas/nitro powered rc world,
1) what is the best way to break these things in.

2) what is the best way to tune the carb. (I've read that these things are set pig rich from the warehouse)

Thanks again.

Its got all the info in the manual. If I remeber correctly it only called for one tank of break in :wooo I opted to idle a tank, run one at 1/8-1/4 throttle, and the last one at 1/4-1/2 throttle. Turn the needle in = leaner turn it out = richer.

Nice, nitro cars are always fun.

How come the fuel lines run all around the chassis like that?

GTSLOW
05-20-2008, 07:47 PM
Dunno something about pressure. SSMIKE1 ran a small 1" line straight from the tank to the carb instead of around, and it made it 10x harder to start.

I wouldn't mind nitro but I am to lazy to be constantly tuning it. Here is my new toy. Comes out in June 5th. Could I come out and play with the nitro boys? Also in a couple weeks I should have my course built out in East Troy. wont be anything special, just something to go out and have some beers and fun. Oh yeah it list price is pretty high but a local guy is selling them around half that.
