I was in the basement this morning when that quake hit in Illinois, all I could hear/feel was how it is when the quarry to the east of us is blasting but only then partially.

Welcome to spring in the midwest I guess :durr

Looks like a few other folks around here picked up on it to; http://pasadena.wr.usgs.gov/shake/cus/STORE/X2008qza6/ciim_stats_25

Anybody else?

I was at work taking a late lunch and said something about it to my coworker. He just brushed it off as the usual beating and banging around with the huge parts.

I was sleeping, a train could run through my house and I wouldn't hear it. The only thing I respond to when in a deep sleep is if the dog barks then I'm up if no bark still asleep.

I have a metal sun decoration over my bed and it was rattling pretty good at about the right time. But it rattles when the trains go by and their about a mile away, So it could have been a train too.

the quake happened about 75 miles from where I grew up, and where my family still lives from what I can tell everyone seems to be ok.

Didn't feel it, but coincidentally, I was recalling the one from a few years ago last night.

was it at like 2 in the morning? There was 2 loud rumbling noises for a little while, I had no idea what it was.

Nope I was sleeping. And when I'm sleeping, you could drive a semi through my room and if it didn't physically strike me, I don't think I'd wake up... :goof

I had just woken up (alarm goes off at 4:30), and as I laid there in a semi-awake state, I felt the bed shaking back n forth a bit.

I thought it was kinda weird, since there was no wind, figured maybe I was just waking from a dream or something and it didn't really happen. Didn't really think too much of it.

Driving into work, turned the radio on, nothing but talk about the earthquake that hit at 4:37, and then it all made sense...that's what I felt.

It was obviously very mild here since we are so far away...I heard nothing, just felt the slight vibrations.
