toook me 1 min to register.

1989 Mustang LX - Maroon with grey interior
5 liter, 5 speed, Bassani stepped full length headers, Bassani 3” X-pipe, MAC 3” exhaust, Ford Racing RPM Extender, lowering springs, Hotchkis rear upper and lower control arms, subframe connectors, caster/camber plates, new Optima battery, new alternator, Powermaster starter, Flex-a-lite Black Magic electric fan, underdrive pullies, BBK cold air intake, 17” Centerline billet Mojave wheels, slotted rotors and probably some other stuff I’m forgetting. It sounds like it has a mild cam in it, it lopes a bit at idle but I don’t know for sure. Runs good and strong. Doesn’t smoke or miss a beat. The odometer shows 51,xxx but it could be 151,xxx for all I know. The pedals are not wore bad, the seats and rest of the interior is still nice and it runs good so it could very well be 51,xxx. Tires are getting low on tread and it could use an alignment. Drivers door needs hinge pin bushings. Also comes with a Walbro 255lph fuel pump that is not installed yet. Family emergency forces sale.

$4500 or best offer

Glad it was your 1min and not mine.....

Guy doesnt seem to know much about the engine.

My search continues. Im looking for a west coast car, rust free, clean and STOCK. Ive got my eyes on two right now with around 70K miles on them and they are BONE stock. They are both around $3,500

I dont want anyone elses project.

This does seem very nice for the money though.

Well, judging by the S/N thats on MMA selling the car. i would trust his word on damn near what ever. cause if it's the same person i think it is he had a low 9 Second N/A SBF Notch.

What do you mean, he doesnt know much about it? They dont have 1,000,000 mile odometers, so it could have rolled over.

What's up guys. It is my car and the one guy is correct, I don't know much about the engine. I've only owned the car for a short time and I haven't dug into the car yet. I've been too busy driving it. I was going to put a big inch small block and a Tremec in this car but I've got alot of shit going on and I'm taking a year off of racing and Mustangs. I might have a Tremec for sale in the near future as well. I just haven't decided if I want to lose my ass on a new transmission or not at this point. The car runs flawlessly. It has a few minor issues like hinge pin bushings in the drivers door are worn, needs an alignment, stone chips, etc. No major issues. It also has an aluminum driveshaft in addition to the description above. The underside is pretty clean for being 19 years old. So either it really only has 51,000 miles on it or it has never seen snow. I've got someone coming tomorrow to look at it and a few guy this weekend. I appreciate you posting it here Andy, I think two of the guys that are coming to look at it seen it on this site.

Thanks,
Darrell

I wouldn't say super clean but it is certainly not a rat. When I think of super clean "flawless" comes to mind. This car isn't flawless. It is 19 years old. I guess it could be considered super clean for a 19 year old car. Either way I was up front with Brandon on the phone about all of the small items this car needs. It is a good deal in my honest opinion and I'm not just saying that because I own it. I priced it fair.

Thanks again for the help everyone.

On a side note, it is easy to not know what exactally a car has done to it, especially if you got the vehicle not too long ago. A lot of time all you have to go off of is what you can see visually and what the owner says, and in a few cases you cant even go off of what is said. Anything from Darrell will be top notch, as he is well respected by those in the racing community as well as several online comunities. He has answered a lot of my questions that I have had in the past, and put up with my lack of knowledge in the beginning.
