700R4 or M6

I need to decide wether to run a 700R4 or an M6. The 700R4 is built to handle 500HP. All I have is the trans. The M6 needs a mild rebuild (400.00-total). I do have a PRO 5.0 Shifter for the 6speed however all I have is the trans. The S10 is an automatic but, I have done coversions in the past. Thanks for the advice/educated opinions/etc... in advance.

Buy a small block chevy and a Th400 and bolt it in and drive the truck. Sell the ls1 stuff. DO IT! :thumbsup

well if the truck is going to be street driven mostly then go with the six speed. if you are going to do alot of racing then go with the auto.
