Excuse the shitty photos, I didn't wash the truck and I don't have the grille back from Crash yet.

Powder coated gloss black front and rear bumpers, stripped all the chrome / stainless trim from the rockers and mirrors, grille will be painted gloss black along with front GMC emblem, will be removing the badging off the tailgate once I decide on if I am trading tailgates with a friend or not.

Looks good. IMO i woulda had him paint the Fender flares the same color as the bumpers, they kind of jump out at me.

Oh yea, it sucks. Its nuts how expensive they are too, you can buy them smooth but its over 300 for the set.

Definitely need to figure out something to do with those headlights though. I think getting some clear lenses and blacking out the housings would look pretty awesome.

So why not ditch the grained fender flares.. and buy one from me that are paint to match? :)

Fullsize trucks with color matched door handles, gate handle and fender flares look nice....

alright here I go I cant contain myself.

Get the tail lights tinted. Clear head lights and parking lenses. Then last but not least some black wheels.

Thats the way they should look factory! Im not a fan of chrome bumpers, nice choice! The Only touches i would do if it were my own is the afore mentioned tails/3rd brake light tiniting, badges gone off the gate, painted: mirrors, door handles, and flares. Nice choice on the 03+ silvy tails right away too!

The tails are awesome, I love them. Taillights will be getting tinted at the end of the month, the rims are getting powdercoated gloss black hopefully next weekend. I like the door handles / fender flares the way they are for now.

The only reason the badges are still there is because I have spent soo much time removing adhesive that I'm sick of it. That, and I want to trade someone tailgates that has the spoiler style top plastic piece on it. Gotta find someone with line x that want's to trade though, so chances are slim. Next week the emblems will most likely come off.

Thanks for the comments / suggestions. If it wasn't raining cats and dogs I would take another photo of the front, I think the grille turned out fantastic an cant wait to share that photo.

Got the mirrors yesterday.

I still really want black headlights, but I just cant put those gay assed halo headlights on my truck. The only way I would is if I bought them, heated them in the oven to take them apart and remove all the chrome things / glowing things / reflectors.

I was thinking about pulling my stock housings apart and removing the amber reflector for now. I haven't found a head light that I like enough to purchase just yet.

not bad -- especially if you wire the headlights that when you put on the high beams the low stay on.

I wish I could find a set exactly like my directionals, only with 2 projectors in them. I am VERY happy with the directionals I got in the mail today, and at 23 bucks shipped for brand new ones the price was unbeatable.

The mirrors cost me a fortune, but they both look and function 10 times better then the original factory mirrors I had on the truck. Can't wait to try them out with a trailer.

I agree with Andy. I'd take the stock lights apart, remove the amber turn, and install a stealth orange bulb. Cleaner and still having (legal) orange turn signals FTW! :thumbsup

I think a clean set of cab lights would look tits. Maybe thats just me but I like when big trucks have cab lights.

The 08 one ton cab lights would look tits. They're already kinda smoked and are led instead of the ol' 194 wedge bulbs.

Keep your stock headlights and take out the amber reflector.

Flip the white walls inside when you get the rims powder coated.

I didn't take photos of the headlights yet, I will tomorrow. They look WAY better without the reflectors in them, and it only took about an hour from start to finish.

I thought I posted in my other thread that I was flipping the tires when I powder coat the rims? Don't want to remount the tires twice, thats why it isn't done yet. Thanks for the comments / suggestions :)
