Had a chance to work with model Tamara Carter tonight. She was great to work with to say the least and things actually turned out. The 1Ds is a hell of a machine for studio work.
Feedback, good or bad, is always appreciated.

Lights were a bit strong tonight, do me a favor and point out which ones you believe are a bit to white and I will look into it.

overall well done. Make sure to keep even lighting on her face though to keep the skin smooth and natural feeling...4,5,6 are good examples of even lighting. Good white balance control also. ALso try and NAIL the focus on her eyes when you shoot. When shooting a woman, its important to "draw you in" to her eyes. It will create powerful images overall.
These are nitpicks though. Well done overall!

She actually has alot of time in front of a lens. Now anyone can throw the word model out if they sit in front of a lens but she actually knows where the lights are which lights to work, basically she knows what she is supposed to be doing up there.
Modeling is not all about looks, it is about knowing how to make the most of the photographers time as well.
Thanks for the comments all :thumbsup

Take it for what it is worth but your lighting needs a lot of work. You blew out some of your highlights on the first shot, a few are flat, some are exposed correctly but her posing and your lighting don't seem to connect. Watch where your reflector is in the shot. I am not sure what your thought was with her eyes closed but that doesn't seem to work.
Is she represented by any agencies? Secondly most of her poses (not all) seem a little forced. In particular when she is touching her chest. I assume you are going for a seductive look but the way her finger is pressing on it almost makes it look she is scratching herself. Finally watch your styling of her shirt. It is hard to tell with low res versions of your photos but it kinda appears that her bra might be peaking out with third and fourth shots.
True, modeling is not all about looks, it requires movement and some acting but also needs the direction of the photographer for what the photographer wants to capture.
Don't take it that I am trying to put you down but you were looking for opinions thus my response.

All very good, accurate points you made there.
The night was for a few of us to work with new lighting and a new reflector setup 9small one at that as you can see in the last pic), not by any means a cover shoot so we were not meticulously checking everything, especially in the first shot which I took while they were still setting up. Also, a few of the people had never worked with someone with alot of experience (myself included) and had just met her so she actually did most of the poses at her own direction..including the chest touch. The simple direction changes we asked, the rest she took care of. The bra peeking out would be a cardinal sin on anything short of what we were doing last night. The shot with her eyes closed was just a funny moment in the night after someone said something, not meant to be anything more than a shot of a fun part of the night.
Overall it was a great learning experience and I appreciate that kind of straight-forward feedback.

A little waxage on the eyebrows would go far for her.
Personally I think she's quite pretty though for having no eye makeup to enhance her look at all.

It might just be my eyes...... but I *think* she is scratching...... I see drag marks in front of the nail..... or at least I think I do.....
