I would check with southwest plating in new berlin.

Jack strunze is the owner and does fabulous work, In fact he does alot of chroming for harley.

Thanks for the quick responses. Keep the feedback and Info coming if you got it. Also post prices what you paid if you've had your car wheels done!

u sure about that?
the ONLY chrome harley uses is hexavalent chrome(the whiter chrome). to the best of my knowledge, there are no chromers in this area that use that process (EPA SUCKS THE BALLS)

actually there are several platers in the area using hex 8 chrome they have to treat their waste extensively and reduce it to hex 5 iirc from my solids treatment class. But you are correct the stuff is nasty and a horror if leached into the environment.

You could give reliable plating works "RPW" a call they are on south 6th by LaPerla and on south 13th oh yea they do plating for Harley as well.

Alot of these plating places just dont take work off the streets either, some will tho.

Where I work all our Harley chrome needs are done in Rock Island Illinois or Lincoln Nebraska, I think Harley is the pickiest decorative chrome customer out there.

that is a fact.
i would hate to be a chromer getting beat up by harley corporate for quality and price at the same time

Harley Chrome always looks good. Thats one of few things they have going for them :)

Does anyone know where I can get a set of wheels BLACK CHROME? I think it is a similar process, but I'm not sure.
