Pretty cheesy. There was a group called Handicap Products that used to hire kids to sell jewelry door to door in the 70s. They told you that the stuff was made by disabled people when in fact it was not. It all came from overseas firms making cheap jewelry. And I mean real cheap. I was one of those kids selling it. I didn't know anything until I heard the boss talking to an importer ordering stuff. I asked questions and got my ass fired for that. Told my dad about it and he got some friend in the MPD to check them out. They were gone a couple of weeks after. You have to really watch and question these people who say they help veterans or any other group.
