It's a 620 horsepower 6.2 liter. Did you think it would sound like a Geo?

not a big fan of the sound. IT was OK at best it was like a mix between a diesel truck and a cris craft boat.

:rolf haters, the thing probably wasn't even rev'd past 2,500. plus we all know neutral revs sound waaay different then the engine under load.

That's just a rich mix pop kuz there no load on the engine... damn haterz :banana1: I cant believe how smooth it is at idle. Wait till the aftermarket boys get ahold of that puppy. I bet it goes 700+ hp with a cam pulley and tune. Let the modern musclecar wars beginnnnnnnnnnn :headbang

700 hp will be EASY with a cam pulley and tune.

And this is pretty much the end of the muscle car wars, imo. I think it's 1968 all over again.

Bulshit. A Chris craft sounds waaaay better than that.

100hp/liter is not alot anymore. S2000s don't make popping sounds.

Something makes me think that the camera used does not record very low frequencies very well.

I dunno with It's price tag and rarity I doubt many will mod a ZR1 at all.

It's aftermarket will be limited to a couple floormats and some more badges.... Corvette guys love their corvette badges. :banana1:

I am so happy that rich people have another toy to choose from. That's so much cooler then making a great car that I could afford. Hopefully this drives other car mfg's to realize that the marketplace on great cars is really only over $100K. Maybe the trickle down effect will allow me to buy a clear hood for a Cobalt?

Yeah, this is only going to push the price of the next Viper up even more.

I think the Viper is dead from what I remember.

I just don't see the point of getting overly excited about a car 99% of us here will never own. I don't even really understand why GM is even doing it. The Z06 is already a flagship car.

I see the breakdown of ZR1 buyers as
10% people actually able to use and will use the car to it's potential
40% people who will buy them and stick them in plastic bags as collector items
50% people who have tried Enzyte and it still didn't give them they schlong they desired. These guys will likely kill themselves and others while showing off.

But I don't get excited when Ferrari or Lambo release new expensive cars either. I tend to get more excited over stuff under $35K
