Well some of you who know me know that my wife was in a car accident this past saturday. She is back to wirk and doing great, a few bumps a bruises and a scratch on her cheek. The other driver banged up his knee and other than that he was good to go as well. No one was severley injured and thank god.

She was on her way to work Saturday moring and the rearend kicked out on her going around a bend, there was still plenty of slop on the road and the rest is history.

Here are some pics of the aftermath...

Car *was a 2002 Taurus...

No doubt the man upstairs was watching out for her that morning.

Thak you for the kind words people.

Also yes insurance is going to call the car a complete loss. We are still waiting to hear what they will offer. I have never delt with this before and neither has she. I would assume that they will pay bluebook or close to it.

Believe it or not the price is negotiable, but only within reason of course.....

The insurance companies would like for you to think that it's not but let them give you an offer and then tell them you'll get back to them.....

Just don't get caught up in the moment when they tell you how much you're getting. Stay cool and like I said tell them you'll call them back. The offer they give you might be generous it might not; I've seen it go both ways.....

I was waiting to see pictures of this. Again, I am glad she is okay and glad the car protected her as it did. I'm sure you won't get as much as you want from the insurance company as these cars have terrible resale value, but it's a small price to pay considering she is still walking around.

Wow, thank god it was in the rear rather than the front. That car is beyond fixable. Thankfully your wife is okay. Hopefully all goes well for you guys with the insurance company.

At least now you know if you ever got hit in your TaurASS you'll be A-ok.

Again glad to hear that the misses is okay.

Trust me, I have seen some very crashed up Taurus' at the auto auction I worked at and there were very, very few that had fatalities as a result. And that was usually due to not wearing a seatbelt and going through the windshield.
