Ran my Viper TT yesterday!

Thats right bitches, while you were all buried in snow I was in Charlotte visiting Underground Racing. I am typing this from my phone so a short update. First of all UGR was incredible they rolled out the red carpet, rented the track at Rockingham we split it with Matt Hagen's funny car team other than them making one pass all day we had the track to ourselves. They trailered it for me in their ginormous 2 story trailer with a lift in it, brought a crew of guys parts everything. Second of all the car is INSANE. It made 1221 RWHP on pump gas with limited traction on the dyno, and 1480 RWHP on race gas, tires severely spinning on the dyno. Upon hitting the track it became clear that what I always considered at least decent driving skills were not nearly up to snuff for this kind of power. I've obviously had a shitload of fast cars but this thing is ridiculous. It is very difficult to hook up, at ANY speed or in any gear. On most of the runs I was not heating the tires enough I think, and I was blowing the tires off it in fourth even at 125 MPH or whatever. Definitely an eye popper. When the tires give under boost its all over the car would rev like it is in neutral and I had it on the rev limiter instantly. End results were we ran it a bunch at like 12 psi on the wastegate springs as low as it will go, around 900 RWHP and on drag radials and I managed a 9.69 at 155 best. From there we bolted on Quicktimes, best we could do since I need to change the brakes to get a 15 rim on it. With the Quicktimes we tried to run 20 psi or so out of the 34 max it will run, Im told around 1200 RWHP, and I was having a lot of trouble getting a good enough burnout without a line lock and the car going everywhere. I banged it off the rev limiter a lot with not much traction. Just as it was getting good had a good run going a 6.12 at 126 MPH in the EIGHTH which I was later told was proably good for an 8.50 at 165-170 or so.... missed 4th, hit the limiter yet again, and damaged the valvetrain. Not sure what yet but the little hole in the vave cover looks like a pushrod came loose when a rocker broke or something. I may go back down in a couple of weeks to try it out again they have a few other cars they want to run and I should be abe to tag along. Mine should be fixed up and hopefully I can swing the cash for the Wilwoods and the right slicks. The thing will definitely run 8s or even better with some better driving and a little more traction...

I am still hanging in the airport at Memphis now waiting for connection. I shot some quick pics while I was down there I will post em tomorrow most likely. They shot video as well I am not sure when I will get that though they are busy as hell. Their shop is a wet dream - they had literally wall to wall Vipers probably 25 or so, just about every one TT or SC. They are branching off into Ford GT and Lambo Gallardo as well and had those there. It was super cool they basically let me hang around their shop for a few days, I even helped work on a car a little and fixed one of their electric lifts while I hun out lol. I am not sure if I am supposed to blab but lets just say they have some pretty badass stuff coming on Dream Garage soonish and they were working on a car for that while I was there. Definitely one of the most badass shops I have been in.

What exhaust set-up?
Did they put a Quaife in it?
What kind of axles to hold that power?

Now I have to explain to my wife that the paxton is not fast enough and the car won't run with-out the full TT treatment from Underground :banana1::banana1:

Dual 4" exhaust with a Burns muffler exiting out the side sills, its so large and it only runs about 3 feet from the turbos in the footwells to the back of the side sill, sounds great and you can really hear the turbos lol. Quaife with Mark Williams Cv shafts.

Hell, make it Post of the Century! How often does someone local and legitimate actually build a car of this caliber?? And then get it tuned, up & running and producing real dyno numbers and timeslips? A guy's got to read thousands of posts filled with bullshit just waiting for something like this to finally happen once in a blue moon.. (well I did anyway..)

were keeping an eye on the weather right now so still nothing in stone yet but figure in about a month when the yard is dry cause we plan on PACKING the place solid, burgers, brats, beer, soda, prizes for highest/lowest hp, different classes of cars to run in ect... should be a great time I'll keep you all posted.

six point, with removable sidebars which I didn't have in. Apparently hey are a little lax on tech when you rent the track ;)

I plan ot get a chute and full cage at some point when I have the car home and my wallet has recovered, the six pointer will have to do for now.
