Just picked up an 08' hood. Having it painted at Marshall's next week so my car should FINALLY be done soon..

The loovers are much bigger on the 08 which makes it look much more aggressive

the hood doesn't come with grills to cover the openings so I'm going to have to make some. You can order them from dodge for like $500:wooo

Not going to see salt again unless Big3 somehow gets their hands on it:chair:

I kinda agree.. The new one looks too 'busy'.. However, maybe the picture just don't do it justice..

With the hood scoop, and the gills...just makes something look out of place. Like if it was just the gills...and no hood scoop I think it would look good.

everything about that car is totally badass but those louvers arent meshing well imo.

The louvers come too far forward, i believe if they were further back on the hood where they traditionally are seen it would break up the two components (the louvers and the scoop) with the length of the hood it has too much visually weighted toward the front and then just basically nothing appealing at the back.... Your old hood had louvers at the back which is affective but they weren't bold enough to draw the eye along the length of the hood. imo a combo of the two would be the sex

I love louvers, personally.......I think the hood is beautiful. But then again, anyone who has ever seen my '79 Camaro knows that "tasteful and polished" are NOT my style, so maybe you better not listen to me, lol! ;)

No done yet.....Ed was having trouble getting some quick real-time data from the sct software but he ordered some other software that will look at the engine stats while he tunes. Hopefully have it back by the end of the week......but with the weather this week I'm in no rush!!

I know exactly what you mean. I am sure it will make a ton of power.

The new hood louvers kind of match the opening at the grille. Helps to break up that loooong hood hiding the mighty V10.
