So I role in from work and the Tiffany reminds me that the dryer needs
a look at, no biggy the duct is undoubtedly locked up with crap and
the motor driven fan is locked up, happened before.

Step one:Tear down shell and remove $4.78 worth of change, 2 pens
and some other odd debris. Hook it all up only to find it works fine now
less the odd smell from the motor .......dam I should have looked
at it last time I was told it sounded "funny".

Step two: Tear the whole dryer down to the frame to pull said motor.
After several minutes of profanity the @$$*%^$## direct drive motor
to fan will not separate. As I here Tiff leaving I announce "The dam
Dryer is a disposable unit, buy a new one!". As she leaves she says
"You might want to come up here and read the directions on how
to replace the motor"...........OK so a little voice in my head said
to me she probably had some key info in her online resource, she
was aware I was replacing the motor and was probably looking up
prices....................

Motor has 1-3/4 in. long blower shaft and 1-3/4 in. long drive shaft.
Motor is complete with pulley. Blower screws directly onto motor
shaft via left hand thread.

Operative word here is LEFT HAND THREAD!

You would think your local ASE Tech, a guy who has been pretending
to be a mechanic for nearly 30yrs would have tried turning the shaft
left hand just one time...........so a $60 motor or a $500 dryer......yah
the motor is laying by my feet, guess what Im doing thurs after work!

Hours later im guessing you had to see my sweating face trying
to wrestle the fan free while she calmly anounced I should come
up and read the instructions. Who reads free online instructions!
