Thursday Night
Mostly cloudy. Chance of light snow in the evening...then snow likely after midnight. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Lows in the upper 20s. East winds 5 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.

Doh! :stare Maybe they'll just throw more dirty sand down.

Goddamnit. I'm getting really sick of coming outside in the mornings, keys in hand, only to find that the weather sucks too bad to drive the Mustang around.

I wasn't planning til a Mid April debut if at all in April... There hasn't been close to enough rain to wash down the roads yet... Plus this is pothole city...

yea I agree...this is going to be a late year for getting cars out. The roads are a mess, there is threat of more snow on the way which means MORE salt/sand and they need to start fixing some of these potholes! It WAS looking promising for a little bit there

Fo sho J, my damn neighborhood looks like a damn sandbox there is so much salt and sand on the road. It will take some really severe storms with some terential (sp?) downpours to wash this shit away.

Honestly, if it does snow, It wont be much, weather is too nice, and with the LOWS being in the upper 20's I wont stick very well

I usually am on the road in mid March. Not this year. Normal highs are >40* this time of year.

All I know is I have intentionally been going outside and peeing on the snow in the back yard.. My theory is I am helping to melt the snow faster.. :flamet

Yes, cuz that has anything to do with salt, you ****tard.

I washed my car Friday and put it in the garage. I drove it on Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday. It is covered in salt.

Why does you being a total ******* idiot have anything to do with racing?

Beagle
03-19-2008, 07:16 PM

you're not calling me out?

Good luck getting races on salt and sand covered roads that aren't washed clear yet. That dried white stuff on them is called salt.

I work right off of highway 100 and watertown plank. It's been salt ALL WINTER. except for the last two snows, since they were running out of salt everywhere.

NO way my car is comming out April 1st. Not untill the roads are clean. It defeats the pupose of storing the car if you take it out on dirty salt, sand covered roads. Rick

Even if there wasn't any salt or sand on the road I still wouldn't take my car out until they fix all the pot holes. Who in the hell knows when that's going to be....:(

I saw a fully loaded salt truck on the onramp at I43 and County Line road in Mequon. I thought he was a bit early.

As long as the roads are at least dry come April, I am driving my cars. Come on, they are CARS........they are not going to melt! Clean 'em off after you drive them, they'll be fine. Hell, my two have made it 35 and 29 years respectively, been through plenty, a little end-of-winter weather isn't going to do them in. If it gets bad out again, back under the cover, or back in the garage, no worries. I think they are all a whole lot tougher than we give them credit for.

I dunno man, one season I was late getting my truck in storage. I had to drive it a short distance to storage through some salt. Like 5 miles. It was enough to corrode my upgraded aluminum deep transmission pan and put surface rust on a bare spot of the frame!

Well, my '73 Olds had to be driven through a (bad) winter a while back, unfortunately out of necessity, no other choice, it was awful, but she made it through with no damage. I'm not saying this is a good (or smart) thing to do, but if the weather gets nice and dry, I have to agree with Beagle, drive 'em.....Just for the record, though, I will NOT be taking them out 'til some of this latest 18 inches of sh*t melts off......Which will probably be right around July......
