Does anybody know where I could look to find a ground effects part for a 92 GMC Typhoon?

eh, Ebay would be your best bet. Or maybe some GMC dealerships might be able to get them still. Or maybe the LMC truck catalog places could get them?

see if you can find some aftermarket company that makes reproduction parts, that would be my best guess. If you can even find OEM stuff you will pay through the roof for it

i think the dealership can still get them, my friend slid his off the road last year and needed a new air dam and had to order it from the dealership

Just one part. Drivers side right behind the rear wheel. It wraps around the back of the truck about 3 inchs. Drilled the fugger into a snow bank.:chair:

The pics make it look nicer than it is. I mean it's nice but it's got that shitty 90's GM black paint. It needs new paint. Those pics were after a wax.

I think Guy at Rockford Racecraft might be able to help you out. Its been years since I've been on the scene, but last I heard he has a bunch of parts.

I just talked to syclone0044 about this very topic this weekend. Used banged up stuff is brining a mint for any kinda body parts special to those trucks. You cant get any of it new off the shelf any more apparently unless its NOS stuff.

Perhaps it might be worth trying to repair the part? Even a complete ground effect kit from GM for Xtreme S10's will run 3Gs new.

Get with www.syty.net and start searching. As an alternative, there is a guy listed on www.sportmachines.com who makes reproduction fiberglass cladding. Cladding is the key word for those ground effects.

Please tell me that it's NOT being driven in the winter season.....:stare

Ya, that would be a tough one fix but if you have the pieces i'm thinking it would be "repairable"........

This guy says he has other typhoon parts not listed but it sounds like they are aftermarket so who knows about the fit and finish and he's keeping his user id private. He has some good feedback though.

That's the same guy "Paul's Select" that I linked from the www.sportmachines.com site , he reproduces the parts in fiberglass.

To Flight_740, there is a guy on syty.net that repairs broken cladding too, he might be either able to fix it, or buy the broken parts off you to help with the costs.
