Well as most know I was out with CPony last night and had fun and the car was awesome...I have a Steve Johnson AMS (West Allis) 347 that he put together less than a year ago...well today I took the kids to bowling in Hartland and on the way back it spit the crank out... actually I haven't figured it out yet for sure but the serp belt let go and the alignment between the waterpump and crank pulley is f'd up...motor won't turn and the front seal is fubared...

don't exactly know what happened but Steve said bring back and he will look into it...thats why I like buying and building local...

but its a bummer...car ran so strong and all I was doing was running 65 in 5th gear....:confused

Hopefully it can be an easy fix but with cars I have learned not get my hopes up. Worst case is I have another short block built..uggh!

You hurt it before, it just let go at 65 in 5th gear. Time to buy a real block now.

That is the way to look at it Andy, just a reason to build it bigger and better

i hate when that happens(shit breaking when you are not "using" it)
good luck with SJ,hopefully he can determine what happened so it doesnt reoccur.
that is what id call a shitty start to the season.

THAT REALLY SUCKS. I've heard nothing but good things about AMS though so I hope they take good care of you
