I just got back from the visiting the painter/master fabricator who is working on my dad's 1932 Ford 3-window...holy freakin' badass!!! So far he's boxed the front of the frame, custom fit the spreader bar, ground and filled all the welds on the frame, ground and sanded the engine block and transmission smooth as glass, and fabbed the exhaust. The frame is painted and done, the engine, trans and body are in primer and should be done in about 3 weeks. The color is Dupont Hot Hues "Molten Bronze" with "Champagne Fizz" flames (same colors as the Willys pictured below)
I'll post more pics as progress continues.
This guy had the baddest shop i've ever seen! The red '34 and the Prowler are owned by the painter (Prowler has 57 miles on it)

thats badass work!

I wont ever understand why people put all that work into fabricating things only to leave the stock corvette fuel rail covers on the engine.

Do you know, by chance, if the 34 was at the Green Bay world of wheels?

It has to be that car, it was one of the 4 decently built cars there.

Yes, the red car was in Green Bay.
I know what you mean about the fuel rail cover Yoo. The engine cover was all custom made and he wanted to cover the engine completely, but the customer wanted the "corvette" showing. That was one of 3 Willys he's built for the guy, and none of them ever get driven or shown.
Pretty cool hanging out with this guy who builds $300,000 street rods today. Very humble, very laid back and appreciative of compliments.

That is my biggest pet peeve at car shows. It absolutely drives me nuts that people can spend tens of thousands of dollars and then they cheap out on that one part.

Frame looks great! Looking forward to seeing the rest as it gets done.

yeah, he's located in washington county. doesnt advertise at all, except at a few big car shows. he used to do all the custom paint for Boss Hoss motorcycles, then got serious about fabricating and painting street rods. The guy's name is Dave Widmann. SUPER intelligent, very laid back and friendly. The pictures dont do this guy's work any justice at all. Not the most affordable, but definitely the one of the best.
