I have a friend who is having a real tough time right now and would like to sell a classic car she has to help her get by for awhile, Are there any car dealers you know of that buy classic cars? The car she has is a 69 AMC Javelin SST with a 440, She said she would like 15k for it. She has tried ebay and the bids didnt get high at all, and I put it on craigslist for her and got no responses at all. Any other ideas? Thanks.

I hate to say it but lowering the price is most likely your key to selling it. If you've tried all those outlets and still have it someone is either doing something wrong or it's too much $$$ for the market right now.....

My guess is it's too much for the market.....:thumbsup

You could also try old car trader or the like... I'm not sure how those magazines work now a days...

What about Valenti's? It's the place right by the Auto Auction off of 7 mile road. I had a customer that sold an older Mustang to them.

First off nothing is going to sell around here until it warms up. Secondly, I would try racingjunk.com and cars-on-line.com

Ebay is for bargain hunters and lowballers.

Try autotrader or listing it on AMC related forums. Classic car places will want a percentage of the final price for consignment.
