Thats pretty damn funny and pretty close to the truth from my experience.

The only thing they left out is the fact that MOST sales people dont know the first god damn thing about the cars there selling!

and it's because they don't have to.

10% of the people want the technical information, and those people already know it before they step in the dealership

90% of the people want to be sold on the bullshit

the top guys i know in this business know jack shit about cars, but they know how to figure out what people want, and that's more important than knowing the hp and torque of a 4cyl chevy aveo

The husband comment I believe will get you fired at any major dealer. But, all in all that was some funny sh**.

exactly. A good salesman will "sell" you the car. You want technical answers, go talk to the service department. Lets be honest... no one NEEDS a new car. A $1,000 beater could work just fine for awhile, so why spend tens of thousands on a new car? Thats up to the salesman to convice you of that, not tell you the torque specs on the flywheel
