im thinkin about gettin rid of my 1g due to needing a more reliable daily driver. i have my GSX which i can now build.

i have thoughts about trading my 1g for a contour svt.

just want to know some of your thoughts on the svt.

should i do it or no. i just need something cheap and reliable

I heard good things about the SVT Contour. A friend who I went to school with has one. I like driving it...its a fun DD.

well its an ok car... but doing any kinda of work on it sucks! i


'd keep the dsm over that anyday but thats me!

They are a fun little car. They are fairly comfortable inside and don't feel all that cheap. I hate the gearing in the cars, but maybe that is just me. Just don't like being in 5th going 45 mph down the road. They have a pretty decent aftermarket. A tune will wake them up a bit more. Some people are starting to put in the 3.0L DOHC motor from the Taurus in there, which helps a bit too. You can find them for a fair price, but like any car, a good history of maintenance will help. The gas mileage isn't bad either, depending on how you drive. It's a fairly small 6-cylinder.

ya. im just sick of sayin my talon and my gsx are my daily drivers. and everyone knows that those things arent worth shit for a daily driver.

ive always liked the contour svts. just need something easy to drive. dont have to do anything except put gas in it, change oil, do the regular maitenance that is required. but still have a lil fun

Yes, I believe stock the SVT put out either 200 or 210. I believe the Contour sport with the 24v 2.5 put out 170ish?

I wouldn't mind having one plus they are pretty sharp.:thumbsup

SVT Contours are JUNK...!!! Don't waste your time with one.....

My old SVT is for sale here in Port at Kaliber. I think he is asking $3695.

That's a neighbor kid who works for Prepsonthenet.com The car is vinyled with their stuff. I haven't seen the car lately though.

thought about it. found a few. idk yet. im a lil short on cash to pay for an srt4. i dont want any loans/payments since im looking at buying a house this summer

They have a white one at a VW dealership on HWY. Steel rims on it (may have other rims, don't know), window sticker of 17,500. I almost pissed I laughed so hard.

its rediculous on how much ppl are asking for them. i found 3 on ebay.

05 acr they were askin 18,999 w/ 20,xxx miles..ha i paid 21xxx for my 05 w/ 5 miles

a 05 OB askin 21999 or something outrageous like that

and a 05 19,xxx...


wtf are wrong w/ ppl
