What The Hell - Fall Out Boy/John Mayer?

Has anyone heard the new remake of "Beat It" done by Fall Out Boy & John Mayer?

I heard it today on Kiss-FM and nearly puked. It's been 25 years now since Thriller, and you gotta figure people are gonna make tributes or something this year. But this completely ruined a wonderful, classic song.

I just can't believe how bad it was butchered. The drumming is WAY OFF esp at the beginning, and the solo was totally ruined and done like SHIT by John Mayer. I always thought he was a good guitarist, but I just couldn't believe it.

I'm a fan of old music, and Thriller is easily one of the best albums ever made in it's time. I didn't like Fall Out Boy all that much before, but I honestly can't believe Michael ever signed off on such a shitty remake, or tribute to that song.

In contrast the remake of "Another Brick In The Wall" done by Korn a few years ago was 10,000 times better.

i liked it.. sorry.. the vocals are god awful but i like how they made the guitar a little rougher. that how the song should have sounded from the start but the original is good to

Suprisingly enough I didn't hate it. It's okay, different take on it. I think John Meyer's guitar work was fine. I think people always assume that whenever someone is covering a song they should make it sound exactly the same. He took his own take on it.

Don't like the singer's voice that much. But the music was okay. I've heard way worse covers.
