Here is a link I found when looking on the internet as gas prices keep climbing. They are claiming some pretty big increases from something I've never seen before. I know the old saying if it sounds to good to be true it probably is, but I thought you guys and girls might want to take a look. :confused:confused:confused

That doesn't make any sense if you read the first few paragraphs of the first link. It's not that there are some kind of "hidden power adders" in fuel that are just waiting to be unlocked. The things that don't get burned only remain because of an imperfect mix of air and fuel. The rest of it is combustion by-product, which can't be eliminated or used for much greater efficiency.

Wow, I'm reading that thread you posted, paul. :rolf That "guest" guy (clearly a company rep) is getting owned. I don't know why he even bothered to post on an engineering board.

Truth, I picked up 14 hp and 3 mpg with the vortex tornado air intake insert and another 17 hp and 4 mpg with the magnets that clip on the fuel lines, the magnets re-arrange the molecular structure of the gas and unlock the secret powers.

I'm totally sold. This will save the world.

Too bad "big oil" will have all these supremely brave, intelligent, scientist killed though.

also it is illegal to remove/replace a stock cat thats under 80,000 miles unless its with another OEM one.

At least I've heard this before, which contradicts the guy in the video.

Really? Ha!!! I did the same thing by switching from Pokemon cards to Yu-gi-oh!

I think he is just heating up the fuel with that thing. Hot fuel evaporates faster and warmer intake charge can improve fuel economy by allowing you to retard the spark. I just don't want anything to do with this tool.

On paper, there is some logic, but what he sells has almost no useful application in the real world.

no logic at all here is what happens when fuel gets hot. haha http://www.vw-resource.com/vapor_lock.html not just that, the boiling point of gasoline is very low, ill try to find it

That is a carbed car.

I'm just saying that some heat is good. Fuel econ is typically better in the summer.

And if you put sugar in the gas tank, jelly beans come out of the tail pipe!
