I was thinking about that the other day, not about WWI but WWII. When would the last soldier pass ?

Even if born in 1930 (which would make the soldier 15 at the end of the war) he would be 110 by 2040. You would not be 60 yet. So yes, very likely.

Pretty sure there are still a somewhat reasonable amount of WWI vets in Europe though too.

I was just wondering the other day about whether or not there were any left.
Doesn't look bad for being over 100.

he looked real good for 107 years old. would have been cool to take him to show and tell in my senior wars class.
