We are one of 15 dealerships in the REGION to get one, they did it as a lottery drawing. We are hoping to get an offer of 70K over list today, otherwise he will order a fully loaded one with Nav and every option.

Heh, wow. My mom's dealership is getting a Bullitt Mustang. I dunno what it costs, but it'll probably sell over sticker as well. She said she's driven a GT500 as well. Pretty sweet, I guess, but I'm not such a big fan of the new Cobras.

I probably don't fit the mustang crowd.

I bet that one day I will be sporting a Polo shirt and plaid shorts, lest I forget to mention my college sweater tied around my neck.

I'll probably pull up to the guy with the Shelby hat and say something like "too bad, money can't buy class." Then I'll pull out my blu blockers from the overhead storage compartment, light my cigar, and attempt to pet the polmeranian that my trophy wife is holding but it will probably bite me (sorry excuse for a dog).

Of course, I will have to tell the wifey that those mustangs are a dime a dozen. The last thing she needs to know is that the mustang costs more than the Porsche. We all know the troubles that can result when miss 34DD finds out that the guy with a comb-over under his baseball cap has a car that costs twice as much as mine. Next it will be a vacation home in Key West and a new Benz for her.

I swear, for the rest of my life, it will be "but if that fat guy could afford that, why cant I have a..."

lol she just works there. I guess I should've been more clear. Besides, even if she was rich, she wouldn't buy me a Mustang. :(

haha....too funny.

Yes, you can get a supercharged viper for half that cost, which I would take if I had the money, but if I wanted the exclusivity, I would dish out the coin if I had it. Only 1000 being built.....

So, what you're saying is, just because they're making 1000 total units, it justifies the asinine mark-up? What if they made a special production run of a blinged up hi-po Focus and it was limited to 1000 units. Would that also justify a 100+% mark-up? It's a Mustang, for Gods sake. The 2000 Cobra R was limited to 300 total units. It's a far more limited production vehicle, as are all of the R code Cobras, yet the asking prices weren't then and aren't now anywhere near as high as this friggin' thing. Whatever. You guys can ask any price you want, but IMO anybody that pays that much for that car is an idiot. I'd like to know how anybody stupid enough to pay that much for a car that clearly won't be worth nearly what he paid for it for at least 20 years, managed to acquire enough wealth to allow such stupidity.

Hey, I dont set the price man. That's the going rate for the KR right now....if someone wants to pay it, I'm not gonna stop them. It's not so much that there are only 1000 total, it's also the region. The entire midwest region is only getting 15 of them IIRC. Just look at ebay as well....all going for over $110K

And I agree. If someone is willing to pay up, then sell it!! :thumbsup

Personally, I think they are dreaming of big bux in the future and many will end up on jackstands for the next 20-30 years.

Remember, ZR1 Corvettes going for over $100K? Super low mileage ones can now be had in the mid-$20s.
