For $112.98 I think its a dam good FMIC, Plus I know of 4 neon owners that actually use it. Two of the owners are putting down some healthy Horse Power ( 352 whp and 550 whp )

Just passing the word because its been proven to work, so for those out there that need a new one for such a cheap price let me know ill post up the sellers info.

Next step is to mount it on the Neon :alcoholic

That is a weird looking intercooler.
Not really, it just doesn't have the exit on the opposite side like the popular ones do.

Nice find, post pics when it's installed.

ps: nice fawty, lol. :D

No its not that. Im just saying its uncommon to see the inlet and outlets on the same side.

My intercooler has inlet and outlets on the same side...and is actually mounted vertically even...

many of the earlier cars did that for packaging reasons and to keep the intercooler up and away from the road....

Your short up/down tube will outflow lengthwise coolers of the same size,
overall cooling efficency will drop but Bar and plate design do cool decent.
The extruded tube design (non-bar and plate) have been proven in local
8 second cars who run Isuzu NPR cooler. Looks nice.

Ah yes, of course. All apologies.

At any rate, so it has the side mount IC or where ever it is?

mounts b/w the radiator and battery, inlet and outlet out the top...

...actually not sure how the DSM's do it as I've never owned one nor worked on one, stock or otherwise.

BUT, the basic layout had been used since 86 or 87...2 or 3 years before DSM even began making cars....

I've got the same/similar one in the ranger and am pretty happy with it. They are so cheap that you think there has got to be something wrong with it.... but they work.

X2 for good EBAY FMIC's pretty good shit for the price. no need to spend $800 on the Greddy/HKS shit that does the same stuff.

same with the subie guys....they have been proven to be decent quality and their intercooler for the subies is basically a copy of the Turbo XS piece...

I'm really leery about buying that sort of stuff via eBay. Seems most of it comes from China and there really isn't any QA. Fitment seems to be an issue too because they don't do a very good job of initial measurements or maintaining tolerances. With an FMIC you can probably get away with it, but I'd watch out for turbo kits and/or manifolds. One of the SupraForums boys bought an eBay turbo kit (I think more or less for giggles) and the amount of work he had to put in to get the damn thing to work right wasn't worth it in my opinion. Had to redo some of the welds, grind slag out of the runners, etc...

I'm more impressed with people that make horsepower out of cheap shit then those that have the unlimited wallet.

The intake manifold was a light pole.
The fuel cell an inner wall liner of a truck.
The strut brace, a tarp support.
The 3 stage boost controller, old canister evap solenoids.
The AFPR was a stock regulator modified (note the wingnut!).
The turbo header, some iron water pipe.
Plug wires from junkyard......12 flat on street tires :)
