After watching a few videos, I've come to the rough conclusion that the fuel burns (or at least exits the exhaust) in rapid bursts. Think of it kinda like scavenging. And the force of it exiting creates thrust.

That's just my best guess though.

want to make a jet its really easy,I've made a few messin around:thumbsup got a old Turbo?
use a male brass compression fitting drill a hole in the compressor side hook it up to a propane tank "use a check valve on the supply line tho" put a drill another hole and put a static igniter in it 1 inch from fuel source "pref before it" turn on gas ignite bada bing a turbine jet ingine:banana1:
loud as f--k but it is fun -i never had a way of measuring thrust but i put one on a slide rail and used weights for it to pull the best i got was 25ish with a turbo off a dump truck with a dinged to hell turbine-I made one for science class when i was in junior high,started in the parking lot -the next month i made one with a after burner-friggin sweet needless to say I got a A :thumbsup Make sure you get the rotation right !!!!!!!! Use this info at your own risk dont blame me if you burn something down or injure yourself !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
