I have a 2003 cobra and was wondering if I need o2 extenders and/or MIL eliminators with long tube headers and a MAC catless prochamber.

Thanks for any help.

unplug the rear o2s completely. put plugs in the exh. and get a good tune, no mil light!

Yes you will need extenders.

Lit wht wouldn't you put long tube on? They are one of the best things for a mod motored car.

What most do is have a tuner diable the rear two o2 sensors, and run extensions on the front.

btw ive done bassani mid lengths on an 03 cobra and they are VERY nice. highly recomend them. stay far away from MAC, most worthless brand out there, you will hate life forever, I promise.

My car has MAC shorties, I think if it weren't for them it would sound really good.

The Bassani Mid-Lengths are nice. Spendy but nice. I like em because you don't need to remove them to take out the tranny.

I had MAC Shorty's, X-Pipe and pro dumps on my 93 LX, I had no problems and loved the sound.

What all is done to the car that you think it needs long tubes or do are you after some kind of special sound ?
Ripping the cats off will give you all the noise you need. :thumbsup
I like the way the prochamber sounds, Sadly I am using a O/R X and the car is very very loud with a magnaflow catback.

I would like a less restrictive exhaust as I continue upgrading the car...also figured the catless prochamber would give a deepish muscle car tone.

I have a mac prochamber mid pipe and no fitment issues and love the sound. I have heard great things about mid length headers for our power plants and shorties being pretty much pointles. That car looks lowered. If its not then ok but if it is then I wouldnt do long tubes as it will scrape all around gods creation and a little of mans and you'll hate life.
