forest, i will defintly give you a call once the snow melts, we engergies wants a lot of extra money to trench when its cold out. we can do all the interior wiring, its just the permit that has to be pulled by someone or a company thats setup with the city.

Doesn't WE Energies (or one of their subsidiaries) HAVE to come out and install the meter? I didn't think they allowed anybody else to install them.

You need a master electrician to pull the other permits.

Yea, we install the meters (I work for We Energies). You have to have all the electric installed and inspected, then we get a call to install the meter. You are responsible for the trough and the wiring. We will trench from the pole or pad mount to your trough and make the necessary connections. It is more expensive in the winter because of the "frost charge". It takes quite a bit longer to trench in the winter. Less damage to your yard though.

from what i am aware of is we energies is responsible for everythign up to the meter, but then from the meter to the panel inside you need a journeyman to both pull the permits and run between the meter and box. after that its all up to us. Soon as this damn snow melts we will be ready so i will definatly be giving you a call forest, any idea on what somethign like that would run? i got a quote from one guy but hes kind of a jag
