well, my POS for this year is a 68 chevy truck, STOCK bottom end with cast everything, stock bore, dished pistons, ect.. Cam is 496/498 232/238 on 112 lsa 76cc heads 2.02 valves with hand porting on heads. static comp. is 8.2:1 Im running a single turbo setup gt-66 or so MAYBE t70 but I got the gt-66 already. ext. wastegate, BOV, blow through 750 holley, wiend xcelerator intake manifold. 3500 stall with ABP, mild built th350 with full manual vb, 4.11:1 gear with spool. On pump gas only, what do you think iit wil make before I break it? BTW ring gaps are set for big boost, and bearings are fresh. whoever guesses the break point will get some sort of undetermined prize haha.. whats your guess hp to the tire?

ah yes, I broke my diff last year. as for a few hundo, I got a dyno to pay for so well see... but ill def. run for somthing with you, just gotta see where things are at when summer is here. should be fine for it, but anything more and somthing else will get drug out. haha bring the Imp then, or if you got a bike...

just thought the two sit fairly similar,wagon is prob a few lbs heavier but has a few cubes on the truck.
you have an adder,ill have a plate on it by then too.

sounds like fun to me. I think the main goal will be to see who can make it to the end of the track with out breakin haha. what is your combo? NO BS, cause the only thing I forgot to tell you is trans brake and 1 piece driveshaft. haha. BTW what you think ill make in rwhp

its an oval port 427 with a solid lifter cam. 8.9-1 compression so on pump gas,naturally.
i dont need a trans brake,ill just neutral drop it.
the car will be on a slick,running through mufflers.
as for your hp, you never really stated what exhaust housing the turbo(s) will be.
that is goin to dictate alot.

nice, haha you must have a th400.... ill be on street radials, one turbo 1.15 a/r on a t/60 frame which is a t-4 flange.. intake a/r is 1.10 2.75 inch inlet and 3inch exh. straight, no muffler, I plan on trying for 18 psi on pump gas

that should be good for 555 to the wheels. you will hit a brick wall with those heads IMO and turning the boost much past 15 will prob not make anything other than heat.thats my prediction for pump gas. on c-16 or q-16 it will make a bit more just with the extra ignition timing.id guess another 50.

550 for 1-2 passes @wot before it shits the head gaskets out, clips the plugs and or lays the crank on the ground.

naw,the tune would have to be really far out to puke the head gaskets,this aint no LSx with 4 bolts per cyl.

haha, thats exactly what my thoughts were! I'll tune it on the dyno of course so ill make what it makes untill it wont gimme more and that will be the tune, all strung out. if I can keep the detonation out of it I think it may go for a bit, mabe half season and then I'll stuff another beater block in it.... but im lookin for just over 500

them four studs per cyl had no issue keeping the gaskets in mine with a cowboy tune up for 3500 miles.

But then again LSx's dont knock to high hell either by default.

that was my point as to why you havent had head gasket issues with the lsx.
that thing in the forrest ranger is conventional,but im saying it will keep a gasket in place much better than a lsx under the same boost levels/deto.

i clipped a few plugs on my 23degree junk..with a 275 shot.

Cause this is an ebay specialmobile, haha.. Motor 200.00, wastegate, 80.00, manifolds, 230.00, BOV 15.00, carb hat, 85.00, converter, free, gears stock, driveshaft, 250.00, trans, 209.00, carb, 85.00, ign. 100.00, misc, 300.00 Truck 1500.00 total =3054.00- 1650 that I sold the original motor for = 500ish rwhp for 1404.00

whats F'd up is i got a 400 crank layin here, forged pistons, forged rods, and a whole nother gasket kit to put my other block together if I so choose. but like I said, its an expierment.... my fast stuff is my kz1000..

mulched piston in the intake and exhaust is where my money might be at too... seems like cranks are the last thing to go in most apps, and usually are wiped out by the rest of shit sandwich beiung made in the crank case haha

If it only spins to 4500-5K it might live forever.
