Come this Saturday, I'm selling my Mercury Marquis wagon to my nephew. He needs transportation and I need to pay some bills. I'm gonna sure miss that car. Nephew sez he will fix it up and do body work on it and if he gets a newer car down the road, I can buy it back. :puppyeyes

That pic is deceiving. The door bottoms are very rusty. It's brown so it doesn't show, I've even gotten trophies at car shows with it. It's 3.8 V6 is pretty weak, but I had toyed with the idea of having a 302 or 351 put in it. Low funds kind of prevented me from doing it. Thanks for the nice comments about it. I put a custom dash in it about two years ago, Ken's Street Rod shop on 37th and Rawson did it for me. He says he'll never work on a Ford ever again. See next post for pic.

Here is a shot of the dash that Ken's Streetrods put in for me a couple of years ago. Says he'll never do a Ford again. Seems it's hard to get the gauges to work right because most after market gauge sets are oriented to GM electrics. I always wanted to put in the bigger V8 as the stock V6 is a crap motor (but somewhat bullit proof-runs forever) No performance parts exist for this engine. It's a fox platform car but everyone seems to think putting a V8 would be hard. Plus I am constantly short of fundage to do this work. Oh well, atleast I will have a chance to get it back if I don't get another car for fun and work. The GF has commandeered the HHR Panel.

Well, looks like my nephew will not be buying my car. He's getting the mini-van from his dad. (kids, you know)
