Well My roommate and I were cleaning up and he chipped the counter top with a wine bottle. Is there any affordable way to get rid of the little chip. It is not very bad but still sucks and I want it fixed.

Mix up a clear epoxy and fill it with that maybe add a lil black dye to it so it looks better other wise if ya found the chip you could grind it up and mix it with the epoxy!
Hope that helps

Yea, epoxy is really the only easy thing to do.

What kind of edge detail do you have?

just a round edge. i will take a picture after i get out of work. i might call someone see if they can buff it out and put a nice coat of epoxy on it.

Ehhh, not much buffing can be done with out redoing a good section. You won't even notice an epoxy repair if it is done right. Did he chip the edge? Normally thats where chipping on a granite top happens.

ya its a small chip not to bad but its there. if you run your finger across the edge you can feel its rough other than that it just looks like a little white spot.

Well we bought a sample of granite and are grinding it to get the little granite chips then we are going to mix the epoxy and try that. I hope it works. we also bought some 600 grit sand paper to finish the job.

go figure everything cost a fortune. i put the epoxy with the granite filings and it looks ok right now. i think i just leave it alone for now.
