Hey guys/gals

I was wondering if any of you are good at doing upholstery in cars and if you can give me any tips.

I plan on doing my Glove box on my 240sx in something not as ugly as how it came stock. I'm not looking to spend alot and i'm trying to do it myself. so anyone have any pointers on what kind of glue or what i should get to hold it on to the existing glove box
here is how a stock 240sx (s13) glove box looks

this is how i have seen them done.

i personally like the fabric look more then the vynal look.

I MIGHT recover the door panels, or i might just take of the tweed look fabric
so anythoughts on what to do or use?

and how MOST people do them

So do you think i shoud cover the doors in the same fabric as the glove box or just leave them how most people do it?

Also contemplating doing the headliner.

So in short i need some opions and some advice as to what i should do.

Girls reaction to the plaid: "oh that's cute!"

Guys reaction to the plaid: "jesus fück... what the fück?"

Choose wisely.

I agree with Yoo and Wikked, don't do the plaid at all....uck. I did all the interior work on my car minus the headliner and seats. It's pretty simple to recover panels and the glove box. I used a 3M adhesive spray can. Sprayed it on and waited for it to be tacky not wet so it wouldnt bleed through the fabric then covered it with the fabric. Some pieces I used a thin piece of foam cut and shaped to add to the panel look.

Just don't get idiotic and remove the passenger seat and replace it with a mirrored dollar sign. Saw that at World of Wheels a few years ago in some Toyota. It was green.
