After months of crystal clear picture on my 42" 1080 Samsung I
finally mounted it on the wall and ran my cords thru the wall.

Maybe its just my timing but my digital pic thru RR looks weak now.
With the same HDMI cables I have been using with the same RR digital
box ect Im getting a blue pixel cloud that comes and goes. I swapped
my cables and the same result. The only cords that are going thru the
wall are my 120v power source to the Plasma and the 2 HDMI cables
from my RR box and my HDDVD player. My DVD player has about
the best picture I believe possible in a home system so Im pretty
confident the TV is not the issue, I even swapped inputs and cables
between the two (RR box and HDDVD player) at the TVs inputs.

Ether the Road runner connection has taken a crap or the cables
running parallel have caused a queer color hue....ideas? Im not
real crazy about pulling this 42" tv back off the wall to confirm
but that what Im gonna do unless any other RR users have recently
noticed a quality drop on there HD service?

Like I said the picture fed by the DVD player is incredible,
I would put its picture up against a Pioneer Plasma.

Have you tried to reboot the box?

Oh I thought it was on all inputs. Nevermind.

Against a Pioneer Elite plasma?

Have you tried to reboot the box?

I unplugged the box a few times, says "boot" so Im guessing yes?

Its weird I've been playing with the cables going thru the wall
thinking it was a proximity thing but no change, then without
touching anything laying on the couch it will just come thru
perfect for 30 minutes. Im going outside, maybe the cables
are getting chaffed or something on the pole or my house...

I love the Elite picture, drooled over it for a while
before buying the Samsung but I coudnt be much
happier watching true HD broadcast shows on the
Samsung. I was just looking at the Pioneer again
this past weekend while shopping for a new suround
system and Im still happy with the much cheaper Samy,
good buy for the money.

It was a coax connector outside....was little scared there!

So it was total coincidence that your coax connector loosened while you mounted the TV on the wall in the house? Talk about a troubleshooting nightmare..... sheesh.

Thats what drove me nuts! Wife says it did it again, she was right.
This time it comes/goes while I wiggle the HDMI connection. Its
certainly not the tv at this point, I may throw some RCA cables
on the RR box to the TV, something is weak and changing.

:fireWhat does it say on the top of your RR remote synergy??
If so it is prolly the same junk ass box i have:fire
I went to time warner to trade my old HD dvr box in because the HDMI output took a dump and they gave me this new box that looked the same but was an upgrade and called Synergy friggin POS:fire

Remote says Synergy and box is a Scientific Atlanta.

Kind of ironic, my old cheater box of many years ago
when I used to have Time Warner was the same Mfg!
So the company who used to steal cable now supplies
the same company components, sweet!
