It needs a rebuild kit on the 3/4 pack, but it is a good trans. It is without the stall convertor.

If you would like it as is = $350

Otherwise I can have it rebuilt. I know a professional that does them on the side.

Standard rebuild = $850

Stronger rebuild (It is what I did for my current transmission) = $975

If you would want the strongest rebuild you will need to PM me and I will find out.

I can add the stock stall for $300, but rather not.

[thread hijack] I've got a couple 4L60E's in need of rebuilds. What is all included in the "stronger" rebuild, and how much does it cost? [/thread hijack]

I am not a transmission specialist, but what I had done to the one that I have in the car now is an extra $100 or so. If I remember correctly there are different sleaves and washers that can be used that increase the strength of the trans.

I did inspect some of the more professional company's that do the transmissions and that is what they also do for $400 or so more.

Would you mind putting me in touch with the builder? I'd love to get some more info on a potential rebuild.

really, did they take care of you? Mine was ok until I exceeded the max hp. Then it started to slip, but before that it was great.

Then it started to slip, but before that it was great.no they didnt and -max hp? he uses alto 9 packs -alto clutches suck! also is 9 clutches is worse than 5 -the problem only increases when you add clutches -the clutch disks that always fry are the fist 3 the problem comes with psi to the piston that applies the 3-4 set and heat.a 5 pinion planet set and adding a beast shell and a set of borg warner hd clutches and adding line psi via ecm is as strong as you can make them. next step for me is a 4l80 w/ a manual valve body fock the 4l60e you cant polish a turd :thumbsup
