Any recommendations? I am looking for opinions on a portable impact. I picked out one from Harbor Freight, but it was backordered, long story short it was ordered back in Nov of last year and still has yet to be delievered, and now it shows that it has near 200 outstanding backordered. So, needless to say I am not waiting anymore and going to return it, and want to find out what you guys have/use that has some decent torque and good quality. Thanks in advance. If anyone has one they are trying to get rid of, let me know what you have. :thumbsup

We use Milwaukee 1/2" 18V impacts at work. They last along time for how hard we use them. For personal use it may last forever:D

I've got a 3/8 9.6v Makita. That thing is awesome! I can drop it a million times and it just keeps going. Batteries last forever too, even 5 years later. :thumbsup

Thanks for the replies I am in fact looking for a 1/2' drive impact, so I think either a Milwaukee or Snap On may do. :thumbsup

I have the DeWalt 18v and it has some real kick. I've tried the makita one too; it is nice.

YOu should go to Neu's tool center. They have all of the quality major brands there. Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch, Hitachi...
