Well I'm still hunting down that perfect Dodge Dakota but I have yet to find it, only has been a few weeks so its cool :thumbsup

The reason I made this thread is because what other Trucks out there have treated you well ?

I'm still focused on a Dakota because there work hogs and a few buddy's have or had them with only a few problems.

I'm not a ford fan so a Ranger would be my last pick, then again I think I read on here that they have 4.0's and there dam good motors.

What I'm looking for :

Year range 92 - 99
Price $1500 -$3200
Use - Work truck, daily driver, haul shit and at times use a two wheel tow dolly. No plowing, No off roading and No racing/burnouts

yeah look at something from another country they seem to last forever and you could get one in that price range.

My Silverado has been decent to me, and my Ranger was even better, always ran great, but the mileage sucked. Click here for a Silverado for sale. http://brewcitymuscle.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25631

Get a fullsize. More towing, more room, and the gas mileage hit isn't more that a couple MPG. A friend bought a (2003 I think)Ranger (4,0L) and it's only getting 2mpg max more than my fullsize F150 SuperCrew 4X4 with a 5.4l
I had an 86 ranger with a 2.9 and it got about 16-17 avg

dakotas still top my list of tuffest trucks. They don't haul a ton, they don't get the best milege, but as far as being able to take abuse, dakotas are tops

I will agree that Dodge Dakota's from the early to mid-90's are tough as nails.....
