Hey, i have a question for all you GM guys out there. I come from more of an Import background with some knowledge on fords, but ive been lookin at Cadillac CTS-V's lately and was amazed at the price for a decent milage one. But as any car would go do any of you happen to know of a Modding Bacground to these cars? I know the LS6 is moddable, im not dumb, but besides say lingenfelter, who else makes good parts, thats well known, and biggest thing!!! doesnt have a cheesy website. Someplace i can go and research aftermarket power makers(not built motors or s/c's) but more of a bolt on type. Im thinking of sellin the Mitsubishi Evo i currently have for more of a luxury, but fast daily driver and weekend fun machine.

Any help any of you guys could throw my way in terms of websites or anything would be of good help, im a member of ls1tech so i got that one. But any maybe cady forums or just really a part maker website would help. Im tryin to research them but gettin a base on what parts and how many are out there doesnt hurt. I know i sound confusing but I myself am confused :P

It's literally just like any Camaro, Firebird, and GTO. They all basically have the same motor. The same mods (parts) work on the same. Only difference is the body around it.

Theres tons of options for camshafts, headers, intakes, heads, blowers, turbo kits, etc.

It's really endless. The only "expensive" mods are the ones specific to your car. IE catbacks for CTS, Vette and GTO are going to be more expensive, same with headers.

The CTS had the LS6 for 04-05, then it upgraded to the LS2 for '06-'07

Transmission is the same "M12" Tremec used on the C5 Z06's and LS2 GTOs

almost anywhere you can find F-body and vette parts, you'll find V parts. Anythign engine wise is the same, Headers kooks, dynatech, LG all make headers for the V. Check LS1tech for more sponsers with websites and a butt load of parts

thanks for the info guys, much appreciated!! Would you guys happen to know of any Visual or appearance websites for new cadys? Maybe somethin along the lines of a more agressive front lip or a less "blingin" front grill :P. I know alot of those ls websites are big time motor things but im just really tryin to make a fun, mean lookin, more luxureous dd than i have with the mits. thanks again guys for the info

Awsome cars!! Don't they require some sort of rear diff brace once you start making power or sticky tires.

They have a tendency to break half shafts and spit out the rear differential if you use sticky tires or adding lots of HP in the motor.

Cool cars, though. :)

I thought CTS-Vs used a T56. :confused

Anyhow, making power out of one should be pretty simple. It's just a SBC afterall.

Ooooh even comes with "Oversized performance injectors" That sounds like a lot of extra performance being injected.

I guess instead of lb/hr now they come in; big, bigger, and oversized.

LoL at a high performance northstar, that engine is such a POS IMO.
You could not pay me to choose a N* over a SBC.

that 4.4 in the STS-V not CTS-V is an all new revamped northstar. technically speaking, its not a northstar like any of the previous ones. But hell yeah I'd take 469hp over whatever the ls2/6 puts out

That is very nice! I hope they installed stronger half shafts because one good launch and they are toast.

They are asking too much money for it, though.
