I just saw the commercial for the show on nbc and thought I would search for other commercials. Still can't believe that they used a mustang! The car doesn't look as bad as some of the pics that were posted before.

I don't think it will last long either. Not sure if the popularity of the old show will help it out much but I remember when the show "viper" came out awhile back. That was pretty much the same thing as knight rider and that didn't last long. I are playing the new commercials a lot tonight and the show doesn't look to good.

If I remember right the first one was on for a year and then cancelled. Then it was picked up again and was on for a little while. Certainly wasn't on for very long though. Either way it was a stupid show!

Yeah, according to the wiki article it was dropped after a season, and then picked up for three more seasons.

im mad mr. feeney isnt KITTs voice. Val Kilmer is going to be the new voice...because the guy that originally did the commercials does a lot of GM commercials and well....GM wasn't happy.

I think the Z06 version is hot, and definitely would have fit more appropriately than the Mustang. Maybe the producers couldn't get GM to play ball, or they didn't want to shell out $50-80K for a car that they'd destroy a hundred of.

Really though, I don't think they should try to bring back the old KITT. They should just come up with something new; is it really that hard?
